Bursa suspends day’s trading, CEO to explain situation

KUALA LUMPUR, July 3 — Bursa Malaysia has suspended trading for the rest of the day after earlier saying that it could resume at 2.30pm.

It will call for a press conference at 5.30pm at Exchange Square to explain the trading suspension on the market.

A statement by Bursa Malaysia said that its chief executive officer, Datuk Yusli Mohamed Yusoff, will provide an overview of the situation and the steps taken to resolve the issue.

Trading has been suspended since morning due to a multi-hardware failure in its core trading system. — Bernama
