Guard drops dead in bank

ALOR SETAR, Sept 29 – Staff and customers in a bank at Jalan Sultan Badlishah here were shocked when a security guard on duty fell unconscious at the premises.

The bank manager then called for a medical officer who pronounced Ahmad Chat, 71, dead in the 11am incident.

The bank manager, who declined to be named, said Ahmad had been working for four years at the bank.

Kota Setar Crime Investigation chief DSP Fiesal Libertus Abdullah said Ahmad was believed to be an asthmatic and that police had classified the case as sudden death. – Bernama
