SEREMBAN, Nov 20 — Newly-elected Bagan Pinang assemblyman Tan Sri Mohd Isa Abdul Samad was sworn-in before state assembly Speaker Datuk Razak Mansor at its sitting today.
Isa, 60, the Teluk Kemang Umno division head, was a former Federal Territories minister and a former Negri Sembilan mentri besar for 22 years from 1982 to 2004.
He won the seat, which fell vacant following the death of incumbent Azman Mohammad Noor, in the by-election on Sept 4, beating Zulkefly Mohamad Omar of PAS with a 5,435-vote majority. — Bernama
